200,000 Pounds Raised for Children in Need!

Reading time approx. 1 minute 12 seconds.

We're delighted to announce that An Evening with the Stars - hosted by Paragon at Battersea Evolution - has raised an incredible £200,000 for BBC Children in Need.

The venue, in the beautiful surroundings of Battersea Park, looked stunning with a galaxy of stars on the ceiling, while Bacardi mixologists thrilled guests with their flaring in the drinks reception.  Sir Terry Wogan gave a warm and heartfelt welcome on behalf of the charity, before Jon Culshaw broke out his famous impressions of George W. Bush, Tony Blair, a very hip-hop Gordon Brown and - of course - Sir Terry himself.

Spelbound - the 2010 winners of Britain's Got Talent - were spectacular with two incredible acrobatic routines, Phil Tufnell and Nick Hancock hosted a very competitive interactive Question of Sport and Charlotte Church gave a mesmerising performance of new material.  Guests heard live from michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett in the kitchen as she prepared the evening meal, and the party was finished with a barnstorming set full of favourites from Sharleen Spiteri and Texas.

A huge thank-you to all our guests on the night, who helped to create a tremendous atmosphere and raise a fantastic sum of money for one of the nation's best-loved and most worthwhile causes.
